Approach — Donelson Consulting LLC

What I do and why it matters

Most partnerships fail not because people don’t care, but because the table was never built to hold everyone. Complex partnerships work when every partner can vet, verify, and hold each other accountable.

My work draws on peer-reviewed trust-building research, two decades of applied practice, and one hard-won lesson: compliance is doing what you said you’d do, to a standard. It’s the structure that lets collaboration survive real-world conditions.

How I help you build strong programs

Strong programs come together as a system. I help you build and connect every piece across your partnerships — so engagement, design, and stability reinforce each other and deliver real results.

Theory of change
Stakeholder engagement
Brings the right people to the table, stewards power well, and shares responsibility and authority.
Responsive programming
Connects stakeholder voice directly to program design — an ongoing cycle of listening, designing, and measuring what works.
Organizational stability
Brings in resources through grants and partnerships, holds onto them through compliance and monitoring, and shows impact through evaluation.
